Nocturnes from the Studio
"I especially like painting winter
landscape nocturnes because of the large shapes provided by field, sky, snow,
mountains and creeks."

Plein Air Nocturnes
These paintings are done on location with
the help of a headlamp and sometimes, a street lamp. In Colorado, that means
warm clothes too. One great thing about plein air nocturnes is that the light
doesn't change all that much--unless the retailers turn off their lights.
